8 Things I Like About Scrubs

I really like the show Scrubs. It’s funny. It has the physical comedy of Three’s Company – one of my all time favorites - and the eccentricities of Arrested Development. Being that Scrubs is on every other channel each and every day, I’m constantly reminded how great every character is. My personal favorites are Elliot and Turk.

So, as I prepare myself for the spectacle that will certainly be Michael Jackson’s funeral later today, I am dedicating my morning to the great Internet tradition of list making. Here are the top eight things I like about Scrubs.

The WorthlessPeons

Ted and his Bob Kelso killing fantasies are great, butTed never shines brighter than when he is jamming Acappella-style with his four man band, The Worthless Peons.

Rowdy

A stuffed dog? Genius. It got even better when Stephen(aka Rowdy II) entered the picture. I read that when he finished filming, Zach Braff took Rowdy home with him.

JD’s Pimp Fantasy

Of all of JD’s fantasies, the pimp fantasy and floating head doctor are my favorites. The pimp fantasy wins out though because Turk looks so sweat ass in those pants.

Bob Kelso

The writers of Scrubs have given me my favorite line to quote ever. It’s probably wrong that I say it to my students all the time… Bob Kelso also thinks that Turk’s real name is Turk Turkleton. That cracks me up every time.

Jordan’s Bitchiness

I like Dr. Cox as much as the next man, but his other half is just as good, if not better. I love how Jordan and Dr. Cox play off of each other. And I really love how much Jordan hates everything.

Turk’s Singing and Dancing

Chocolate Bear has so many talents. Donald Faison is amazing. He's so good it warrants two clips.

Hooch is Crazy

I was pleased to see a Hooch shout out at the end of the series (and yes, I consider the show to be over). Hooch’s descent into madness was never more evident than with the infamous bouillon cubes…

Elliot’s Apple Fantasy

To me, Elliot Reid is the best part of the show. It’s a guaranteed laugh every time she goes off on a tangent about her childhood or her messed up sex life. This is Elliot at her best.
